Greetings,
I am Jay.  This is my blog space. “Path” refers to a new direction I am taking in my faith and Christianity.   I blog about all the things I am learning about faith. As I discover things I will share them here.  I am sure some will seem elementary but we all have to start somewhere.

Look under “Posts” for newer writings. Or the contents of recent posts on the right hand side of the page. You can “subscribe” to get an email alert about new entries which will be only once or twice a week as a rule.

Along the way I also may share  other interests as well. This may include recipes for some of my favorite comfort food dishes, my weight-loss success and set backs  as I work on better health, and interests in Books, Music, TV, Photography and who knows what other odds and ends.

The image I am currently using is just something I found on Google Images. I selected it for several reasons. I am old enough now to qualify for the Senior Discount at Denny’s. So in essence I am in the “Autumn” of my life. (My apologies to Sinatra)

The path seen here has autumn colors which signify change.  They also signify a death of sorts, these leaves will fall and wither and in the Spring new ones will grow. In following Christ we are asked to leave our worldly possessions and pick up our cross and die daily for Jesus. And yet… we can only see a short way down the path.

Faith.
A dear friend of mine and I discuss often how God does not let us see the whole picture. She likes the analogy of just seeing as far as the headlights can illuminate.

I know I can see a glimpse of heaven from this place in the road. I know there will be mountains to climb. There will be turns and temptations to take shortcuts. But I must remain steadfast and pray for help to keep moving forward and to follow.

So this is my path and what it looks like.

It is my hope and prayer that as I learn or share things,  they may have some value to you as well.

Let me know your thoughts.

Enjoy.
